Mango-Tango Slushie (vegetarian)

Oops - no photo again. It's a drink. Mystery solved.
Points: 1 pt / entire slushie

Review: A 1 pt slushie? Unheard of. And it's yummy. Definitely criteria for a 5.0. And it introduced me to V8 Splash which is pretty freaking good.

Score: 5.0

Creamy Crab Salad

Oops, no photo.
Points: 2 pts per 3/4 cup

Review: I don't like seafood. But this crab salad is awesome. And you can actually eat quite a bit of it and still be healthy. Toss it with some lettuce and it coats everything pretty well. I like.

Sweet Crust Quiche Supreme

Points: 2 pts per 1/6th of quiche

Review: This recipe was ok. Overall, the crust was the best part of the whole recipe. Too spinach-y for my taste.

Score: 3.0

every day is thanksgiving salad

Points: 2 pts per 3/4 cup

Review: So, I really liked the flavor of this. A lot. But it did nothing for filling me up. I put it on top of a bed of lettuce. Nothing. So, I have to give it low marks.

Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Cups

Points: 4 pts per 2 lettuce cups

Review: Haven't fully gotten the hang of this romaine "lettuce cup" thing. The spine of romaine is just too crunchy - it doesn't roll into a cup. Also, I'm not big on sacrificing bread for points. It's my weakness. I'd rather have a low-carb tortilla or low-calorie bread than this weird lettuce cup. The filling was good though.

Snazzy Spanish Omelette (vegetarian)

Points: 3 pts/whole thing

Review: This omelette had some good flavor with some fire-roasted tomatoes. But it was a little complicated for my morning brain to handle. I like simple morning food.

Score: 4.0

Crazy-Crumbly Super-Yummy Coffee Cakes (vegetarian)

Points: 2 points/cupcake

Review: It's cool that it's only 2 points/cupcake but I don't really think it's worth it. The crumbly topping is a PAIN to make and the end result didn't really have any flavor. Just bland.

Score: 3.0

Ginormous Oven-baked Omelette (vegetarian)

Points: 3 points per 1/4 of the recipe (photo shows 1/4)

Review: This recipe was really yummy. However, it took FOREVER. I think it was supposed to take an hour bake time but I thought I could cook half the night before and half the morning of. The omelette and I did not see eye-to-eye. It still took a full hour in the morning. I wake up hungry. This did not work for me.

Score: 5.0 for taste but a 3.0 overall because of time/effort.

strawberry shortcake bite (vegetarian)

Points: 2 pts/2 bites

Review: Flavor-wise, these things are ok. But they are frozen so they're kind of hard to eat.

Score: 4.0

Super-Cheesey All-American Breakfast Bake

Points: 3 points/whole thing

Review: This recipe definitely kept me full for a while. A long while. And it was yummy. You have to bake it for 25 minutes which is not an ideal breakfast for me but it's worth the occasional splurge.

Score: 4.75

four-cheese stuffed-silly mushrooms (vegetarian)

Points: 3 pts for 6 mushrooms

Review: I think I must have done something wrong because these were WAY too good to be healthy. And they were stuffed silly. I made more mushrooms than the recipe called for and still there was so much stuffing that I think I just had to eat some. And it was super yummy.

cheesy saucy veggie stacks (vegetarian)

Points: 3 points/stack

Review: This recipe was pretty good once I figured out what I was doing. I'm not good and reading through a recipe before I start it so I thought these servings would be little "stacks" of veggies (as the name implies, right?) but it's really more like lasagna. So I cut up some of my veggies wrong. Nothing harmful to the recipe, just less pretty.

Review: These were REALLY good. Pretty easy too. I like good and easy. Combine that with low in points and you get a 5.0!

104-calorie crème brûlée (vegetarian)

Points: 2 pts/custard cup

Review: Dislike. Maybe it's my own fault. I do not have a hand-held butane kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar. So, it's really just crème. But it was blah crème.

fiber-ific fried cheese sticks (vegetarian)

Points: 3 pts/4 pieces
Review: Woah, I'm a slacker because I didn't write this sooner. I didn't like these so much. Mostly because they got cold really fast so even though they look toasty and warm and soft. They were not. Weird. Alf liked them ok.

Pumpkin Pudding Parfait (vegetarian)

Points: 3 pts/entire parfait

Review: Can I say YUM? This was really good. Like all the best parts of pumpkin pie without any of the nasty aftertaste. I had it for breakfast and it was pretty filling. And totally yummy!

The Breakfast Club

Points: 4 pts/whole thing

Review: This dish was pretty substantial and pretty good. If you can cook the ground turkey and bacon ahead of time, then it doesn't take long to prepare either. It called for tomatoes but I had none so I tried it without. I don't really think I missed them much.

jell-O fizzy fruit minis

Points: ~1 point/dessert cup

Review: Who would have thought that something so simple could be so WOW? It reminds me of my mom's jello cookbook. I mean, HELLO. Diet orange soda mixed with raspberry gelatin? Genius.
