Chocolate Pudding Crunch Explosion (vegetarian) - p182

Review: This dessert had a little too much going on for my mouth to comprehend. A bunch of crunchy stuff goes into this little dish. I think it's too much for the proper topping/pudding ratio. I had most of the ingredients but had to pick up pretzels. 4 minis to be exact. What the heck am I supposed to do with the rest? Other HG recipes don't call for it. I mean, they're cheap but now I've got a pound of pretzel that will go stale before I can use it. I see a Key Lime Margarita Pie (non-HG but should definitely be slimmed down and added!) in my future.

My Big Fat Greek Pita (vegetarian) - p70

Review: This sandwich was hot! Well, it was really cold but it was big and yummy. My breath might have been kickin afterward but my tummy was satisfied. I was a little skeptical that it was a greek sandwich without feta or black olives but then I had the sandwich and realized that there was so much flavor going on, you would not be able to taste them if they were on there. So why waste the points? The recipe calls for onions and I elected red onions to make it more greek (and let's be serious - I still had some leftover from another recipe). I think my breath wouldn't have been so bad if I had opted for another type of onion. :)

Upside-down Chocolate Cream Pie (vegetarian) - p183

Review: Pretty fun little treat. And I've been surprised by how filling pudding has seemed lately. No surprises in this recipe. I think I made my own instant pudding rather than buying pre-made but you could cut some time by buying pre-made. I liked the extras in this treat.

Cheesy Dog Tortilla Roll-ups - p151

Review: These dogs were a little cheesy (Pun intended). Not much to them and the lack of condiments meant that there was nothing to conceal the salty taste of the Hebrew Nationals dogs. It was a good lunch to brown bag though. Convenient and small but not all that filling. I think I had 3 or 4 small apples with it. I'd just rather have my hotdog in a bun with ketchup, mustard and relish.

Perfect Pepperoni Pizzas - p108

Review: I even got my husband to eat these little babies. Well, almost. I had to give him regular pepperoni but that's not too bad. He even said he'd eat it again after being skeptical to begin with. I always consider it a good sign of a yummy recipe if my husband will eat it because he's so picky. Plus, these bad boys were EASY. Definitely a good Friday evening recipe when you want to relax but don't want to blow all your points on commercial pizza!

Veggie Tuna Wrap Explosion - p74

Review: Tuna twice in about a week. That's saying something for the first tuna recipe. This one was pretty yummy too. Easier to put together than the last since it was all cold. It was pretty stuffed tortilla. Definitely filling - I was surprised by how it held me over. You use broccoli slaw in this recipe and I got to use the rest of the bag following another HG recipe:

HG's Famous Bowl (vegetarian) - p98

Review: This little bowl was SUPER easy to make and also pretty freakin filling. Again, I'll exercise my caveat: I had the butternut squash leftover from the last time I cut it (kind of pushing the "good by" date) so I had none of that hassle. That being said, it was SUPER easy to make. Few ingredients, whipped together. Not a lot of flavor and very mushy. The butternut squash worked its magic and assumed the flavor of the other ingredients. I'm not saying it was bad, you just can't taste any particular ingredient. Definitely worth a try (if you have butternut squash cut up).
