Review: I definitely think someone dropped the ball on this recipe. My husband and I both tried this recipe and for some reason, it tasted sour. My husband doesn't eat fruit so I made half the recipe without the strawberry preserve topping. He managed to eat the entire cupcake but said it was sour. My first bite I didn't get much strawberry preserve and I thought it tasted sour. The second bite had a lot of strawberry which was sweet enough to cover up any other flavors. But the congealed texture of the strawberry preserves/gelatin gave the cupcake an undesirable texture. I couldn't even eat half.
